Because of the live nature of this website, it is not possible for us to review and/or confirm the accuracy or validity of a message before it is posted. If you believe that someone has violated our User Guidelines or you have spotted content that may otherwise require attention, please use the Report facility. Notification is voluntary and confidential, but in no case should a user respond to a situation personally, thereby aggravating the situation further.

Any content that violates our User Guidelines will be removed. Interpretation of our guidelines is at the discretion of the administration team.

1. One account per person please. Where possible, please use your real name to register an account. This will help speed up the registration process. Users found to have more than 1 account will have all accounts terminated.

2. When you've completed your registration, you will be able to post in all areas of the site that are open for discussion. However, your first three posts will be moderated by a member of the team. This is to ensure that you are in compliance with the forum's themes. Once your first post is approved, you are then free to talk on the site without moderation.

3. If you work for a news organisation, you can request to have your account verified. Verified users will have a blue tick below their username throughout the forum. Whilst members are free to ask verified members questions about broadcast news, it is explicitly forbidden for them to harass or send abusive messages to them. If a verified member is being hassled, please contact the administrator, and action will be taken against that user.

3. Posts relating to speculation of people's personal lives are strictly forbidden here. Do not post personal, real-life information such as home addresses and home phone numbers.

4. If you upload someone else's content to the site, you MUST credit them.

5. Please do not upload mock idents to the site. Faithful recreations of idents or TV presentation are acceptable however.

6. Vulgar language and inappropriate material is not allowed and will be removed.

7. Respect is the name of the game here. You must respect your fellow members. Please refrain from inflammatory and defamatory comments as well as flaming, taunting, and general disrespect. Do not simply put down the opinion or advice given by others. If you don't agree with it, say why - respectfully. Don't just tell them they're wrong. Do not make uninvited remarks about typos, duplicate posts, posting styles, etc.

8. Moderators and myself have the final say on anything. If you have a problem, you may make a complaint to them directly and not publicly on the website. Creating posts that question or reference administrative decisions or potential administrative decisions, such as post removals and thread closures, is not permitted. We are not perfect and if you feel that we have made a mistake, please privately contact a staff member and we will review the situation.

9. We expect all members to follow these guidelines. If you don't, we operate a three strikes and you're out policy.

1st offence: Warning (Warnings expire after 30 days)
2nd offence: Ban for 7 days
3rd offence: Permanent Ban
